This Disclaimer governs your use of the MyPersonalities® website, app, and suite of associated programs (collectively, "the Program"). By accessing or using the Program in any way, you agree to be bound by this Disclaimer in full.

Please read this Disclaimer carefully before using the Program. If you do not agree with any part of this Disclaimer, you must not use the Program.

This Disclaimer should be read in conjunction with our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use, which form part of the agreement between you and us. All three documents are available at mypersonalities.com

1. Depression and Emotional Responses

The unresolved issues of some people may result in feelings of depression when exploring their personas. However, this kind of depression can be very useful as it would strongly suggest that the personas being explored (immediately before the feelings of depression occurred) contain within them psychological needs that should be addressed. Anyone who experiences depression when using the MyPersonalities® App is advised to seek the support of a psychotherapist or your doctor.

2. Not a Replacement for Professional Therapy

The MyPersonalities® app and suite of programs is in no way a replacement for professional therapy, or medical advice, conducted by a qualified practitioner and we will not be held liable for results obtained by use of the program without guidance or advice from an accredited and qualified practitioner of therapeutic services.

3. Conditions Requiring Professional Supervision

There are some people who should only use the MyPersonalities® App under the supervision of a psychologist, psychiatrist, or appropriately trained psychotherapist. These include anyone who has been diagnosed with a psychiatric condition, or suffers the following symptoms:

Severe depressions, paranoia, difficulty distinguishing between what is real and what is not real, homicidal feelings or fantasies and/or harming feelings or fantasies towards either yourself or others.

4. Your Responsibility to Yourself and Others

Your responsibility to yourself and others; if you have ever had suicidal impulses, self-harming behaviour, periods of blackouts, or have experienced uncontrolled angry rages, then you should NOT use this program except under the supervision of a doctor or suitably qualified therapist.

5. Repressed Memories

Using the MyPersonalities® App may heighten your memories of past situations and the feelings that you associate with them, much as you would in a regressive session with a psychotherapist. It is possible that for a small percentage of people who have repressed past traumas, this program may bring up a distressing experience that had up until now been hidden.

Repressed memories are not simply things that you have forgotten, they are memories that your unconscious mind has blocked out because they are distressing to you. Repressed memories are not necessarily a sign that there is something wrong with you, they simply indicate emotional pain.

When they are uncovered, it is possible that in certain instances, a repressed memory may bring on symptoms of depression.

5d.

If you have concerns about repressed memories or experience deep depressions, you are strongly advised to only use the MyPersonalities® app with the support of a psychologist or psychiatrist.

6. Uncertainty About These Warnings

If you don't understand these warnings or are in doubt about any of the conditions mentioned, DO NOT use this program as a sole means of therapy.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we will in no way be liable to you or anyone else for any loss or damage, whether direct or indirect, consequential or economic, which may be caused in connection with the use of this app.

8. Accuracy of Data

We make no claims as to the validity, reliability, accuracy, or completeness of the data gathered and entered by the user of this app. You should not act on the basis of anything contained on the MyPersonalities website or app or on our social media sites without first obtaining professional advice specific to your circumstances.

9. Testimonials

Testimonials appearing in connection with the MyPersonalities® app and suite of programs are based on individual experiences of those who have used the products and services provided and are unique to those individuals. We do not claim that the results are typical, or that they are representative of what another user may experience as a result of using the MyPersonalities® program.

10. User Responsibility for Data

Due to the nature of the MyPersonalities® program, the user is responsible for the input of the data, and we will not be held liable for the information or outcomes resulting from your use.

11. Computer Systems and Viruses

We are not liable to you or anyone else if interference with, or damage to, your computer systems occur in connection with your use of the MyPersonalities® program. You must take your own precautions to ensure that whatever you select for your use of program is free of viruses or anything else (such as worms or trojan horses) that may interfere with or damage the operations of your computer systems.

12. Changes to the Program

We may, from time to time, change or add to the MyPersonalities® program without notice. We do not undertake to continuously keep our website, app or social media sites updated and we are not liable to you or anyone else if errors occur in the information provided.

13. Termination of Access

We may terminate or suspend access to the suite of apps and programs immediately, without prior notice or liability and without limitation, if you breach the terms and conditions of use; which includes irresponsible use of the program or not seeking professional help as per the conditions listed in previous paragraphs.

14. Lawful Access

You must ensure that your access is not illegal or prohibited by laws which apply to you or in your location.

15. Third-Party Links and Applications

The MyPersonalities® program may link to third-party apps and websites. These links may be affiliates of the program, however, please note that we have no control over, and assume no responsibility for content, privacy policies, or practices of third-party applications and sites. By agreeing to these terms, you acknowledge that we are not responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage incurred by interaction with third-party apps and sites. We encourage all users to read the terms and privacy policies of any third-party websites or applications that may be visited.

16. Intellectual Property

It is understood that the MyPersonalities® program and its suites of associated programs are the intellectual property of the owner, and as such you may not copy, distribute, modify, adapt, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble or merge any of the Intellectual Property belonging to us. Neither can you commercialise the programs in any way without the express consent of the owner.

17. Cookies and Data Collection

We may use cookies (small data files that are stored on a computer) to collect anonymous traffic data and to improve our user experience. You can remove or block cookies using the settings in a web browser, but please note that this may impact your ability to use the website. We may also collect and store information about your visit to the website, however, the information collected by our websites cannot be used to identify a user individually. The information is used to measure visitor numbers and to assess how our websites are used in order to maintain their effectiveness. We do not collect this information for any type of advertising or for promotional purposes.

18. Minors

The MyPersonalities® program and suites of apps is not designed for use by minors. By that we infer that persons under the age of, or with a mental capacity of a person less than the age of 18 are probably able to use the app without harm but may not receive benefit or guidance from the process, and as a result are not advised to use it.

19. User Control and Responsibility

All limitations of the MyPersonalities® suites of programs and processes expressed here are to be viewed in perpetuity as being in the control of the user, and not the responsibility of the owner(s) of the app.

20. Prohibited Conduct

You (the user) must agree that you will not use your MyPersonalities® program and suites of apps or other associated accounts to engage in any illegal conduct or activity or to defame, abuse, harass, stalk, threaten or otherwise offend any person. Neither will you publish, distribute, email, transmit or disseminate any material which is unlawful, obscene, defamatory, indecent, offensive or inappropriate using the MyPersonalities® program and suite of apps.

21. Usernames and Accounts

We reserve the right to remove, reclaim or force forfeiture of any username and account at any time and for any reason which are deemed to be offensive, violate Intellectual Property rights, or which may try to mislead other users in relation to the MyPersonalities® program and suite of apps.

22. Licence to Use

You are granted a non-transferable licence to use any MyPersonalities® programs and suite of apps on a device that you own or control, in the manner permitted by these Terms and the Usage Rules set out in these paragraphs.

23. Prohibited Software and Interference

You agree that you will not use exploits, automation software, hacks or any software designed to modify, disrupt, overburden or interfere with use and enjoyment of the MyPersonalities® programs and suite of apps. Nor will you use any unauthorised third-party software that accesses, intercepts or otherwise collects information from or sends unauthorised information to the MyPersonalities® programs and suite of apps.
